RIYADH: The Saudi capital is set to host “The Last Crescendo” as part of Riyadh Season — a global boxing event featuring a rematch between two legendary light heavyweight champions.
On Feb. 22, the main event will see Canada’s undefeated Artur Beterbiev (21 wins, 20 of them by knockout) defend his unified light heavyweight world title against Russia’s Dmitry Bivol. Bivol holds an impressive 23 wins, 12 by knockout, and a single loss — which he suffered at the gloves of his upcoming opponent.
The rematch is set to determine the ultimate ruler of the division and promises an electrifying showdown between two of the sport’s greatest modern-day fighters.
Along with the headline bout, “The Last Crescendo” will feature a series of other high-stakes fights. Among them, Daniel Dubois will face Joseph Parker for the International Boxing Federation heavyweight title, and Shakur Stevenson will clash with Floyd Schofield for the World Boxing Council lightweight belt.
Other key bouts include Carlos Adames vs. Hamzah Sheeraz for the middleweight title and Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Israil Madrimov for the interim super welterweight belt. The fight card also features Zhilei Zhang against Agit Kabayel for the interim heavyweight title and Joshua Buatsi against Callum Smith in a decisive light heavyweight interim title fight.
The event is a pinnacle in the boxing calendar, with fierce battles between top-tier international champions as they vie for glory in Riyadh.
“The Last Crescendo” is not just another fight night — it is a celebration of Riyadh Season, drawing fans from across the globe to witness a world-class sporting spectacle in an unparalleled atmosphere.
